As the Sponsor of the Michigan Elks Association, I am extremely proud to say that Michigan Elks continue to be on the cutting edge and ready, willing and able to meet the challenges of the new Millennium. The Elks of Michigan and their families constantly amaze me as to their accomplishments in aiding our youths, veterans, handicapped children and those in our communities who are less fortunate and in need of assistance. As you browse through the various topics and articles on this site, you will get a very good picture of what Elkdom is all about and how Michigan demonstrates that

"Elks Care - Elks Share".

Michigan's Elks Lodges are deeply committed to the betterment of their communities and surrounding areas through charitable and patriotic service. Those of you who are reading and learning about ELKS for the first time through this Web Site, I encourage you to visit a local Lodge and get involved. To all Michigan Elks, I congratulate you and say that you can stand tall and proud of what you accomplish through your Lodge and your State Association. I congratulate the Internet Committee for providing an informative and highly professional medium for disseminating our message of Charity, Patriotism and Community Service to all..

Cordially and fraternally,

Welcome to the website of the Michigan State Elks Association. As you browse through the topics and articles on this site, you will get a real sense of "Who the Michigan Elks Are and What We Do," which can be easily summarized by the Elks Motto "Elks Care - Elks Share".
As Co-Sponsor of the Michigan Elks, I am extremely proud to say that Michigan is one of the leading States in all of Elkdom. With 53 Lodges located throughout the State, and roots that date back to 1868, the Michigan Elks offer a myriad of programs and activities to serve our youth, veterans and the local communities.
In addition to our community and charitable activities, we are also a very social organization, offering a variety of activities for our Members and their guests.  Our Lodges often invite community groups into our Lodges for recognition and to hold special events, and also provide facilities for the celebration of many of life's special occasions. All of these programs, projects and activities help prove the Michigan Elks a valuable partner for the community they serve, and, in turn, helps support our growth and community outreach.
Enjoy your time on this website as you discover how the Michigan Elks demonstrate our "Elks Pride and Community Focus"

We appreciate the time you are spending to review our website, and hope that you will be able to come to understand that the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is a 150 year old charitable and fraternal organization whose mission is to inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share.

With over 775,000 members, located in all 50 states, as well as the Philippines, Guam, Canal Zone and Puerto Rico, housed in more than 2,000 Elks Lodges, all of whom are focused on this mission, the impact of the benefits provided by Elks to the communities across the United States is monumental and far reaching.

Michigan Elks share these same goals, and are found in 53 lodges across the state, from the Ohio and Indiana borders, up to and across the entire width and length of our Upper Peninsula.

If you are not already a member, we invite you to visit a lodge in or near your community and consider joining our active members in showing Michigan that

 "Elks Care - Elks Share"
