PER Association Baskets for the needy
Port Huron Elks Lodge #343 PER Association with the assistance of our Lodge Membership donated enough Turkeys, Hams, Potatoes, Bread, Can & Dry goods, not to mention knitted hats to fill (40) baskets of food for the needy which were delivered locally to families in need. We were able to provide food baskets to Hillside Wesleyan Church and Station Church Pastor Jeff King. We were also able to deliver an additional (22) turkeys divided between to Mid-City nutrition, St. John's United Church of Christ and Marysville United Methodist Church. Each basket also contained a Christmas Greeting card prepared by PER Joe Barbe and a hand written note provided by Alayna Hudy both expressing all the good that our Elks Lodge does for our community and wishing all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! A special thank you to PER William & Barbara Westermann for donating (15) Turkeys and to Mike Adamkiewicz for donating (10) bags of potatoes above what our membership was able to donate to this great cause. Proving once again that Elks Care-Elks Share!
