Coldwater MI Elks Lodge 1023 is located downtown in Coldwater, the county seat of Branch County. With a population of about 10,000, the Lodge has 300 members and is housed in a building constructed in 1864 as a Spiritualist Church. After stints of being a private residence, a museum, and a hospital the Elks bought the building in 1906 shortly after the Lodge was formed. The Elks have been a prominent part of the community since its inception and today enjoys a close relationship with the Coldwater American Legion Post 52. We support all worthy community causes and the members are a source of pride for the town.
The club is currently open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Weekdays open at 4 to 7 ,8 or 9 depending on the day and activity. Food is served on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Saturday hours are noon to 6 with light food being offered coupled with some type of sports activity.
The Lodge is proud to boast of being the home of the current State President, Penny Geishert and has one Past State President, her husband Edwin, currently the Esteemed Leading K night of the Order. If you are visiting from out of town and call ahead to announce your arrival time, Penny and Ed will likely meet you at the Lodge to take you on a tour of the building explaining its storied history.
Thank you.
